I’d say this photo is proof positive that Gabelman is going to be captive to the state's most extreme special interests should he be elected to the Wisconsin Supreme Court.H/T: The Brain Trust.
Update: As it turns out, this post is proof positive that conservative bloggers wouldn’t recognize a joke if it walked up to them in a bar and asked for a photograph. Settle down, everyone. The election’s a long way off, and I’ll you let know when I actually start mud slinging. In the meantime, I was sorry I couldn’t make the event and get my own photo. Sheesh.

The picture does not show the mind-control chips which were inserted into Gabelman at that gathering.
From here on, he will hear Sykes and Belling every day, no matter his location.
After about 90 days or so, he'll get a decoder ring so he knows what the talkers REALLY mean.
Gableman is standing upright in a Wisconsin bar. No compromise there.
Oh, wait. He's talking with someone you don't like. That's different. Gableman is an SOB.
How dare the man be allowed to talk to voters... I'm sure you have never spoken with Jim Doyle, Russ Feingold, or Tom Barrett, right? Because that would be wrong, wouldn't it?
Nope, no double standards here.
Such terrible mud you sling! And "all over the place", too! Let's see. Owen says "Mathias’ comment is proof positive that he’s either intellectually dishonest or a fool. Let’s walk through the logic, shall we?" Hmm. I think in "logic" class they called that a "false dichotomy" or more precisely, Morton's Fork.
What is Owen's definition of "extreme special interests?" Why does he expect it to be the same as a liberal blogger's? He says "The three bloggers appearing in that picture are just that - bloggers." Hmm, two of them spoke at an AFP rally just a few months ago. One of them, as part of a husband/wife team, came "dangerously close" to violating campaign laws recently. The third is often described as a "GOP operative" and was previously involved in a Supreme Court-related election scandal. But they're just plain folks, just bloggers drinking at a bar.
Another tempest in a teapot. Such righteous indignation by the right-wingers who have already forgotten how to "just get over it" when they read something that offends their sensitive eyes. A liberal blogger described GOP/AFP operatives as "extreme special interests"! The horror! Right-wing bloggers post picture of themselves with Supreme Court candidate just to crow how connected they are, and they're shocked that there's a reaction. Yes, "it could have been about family." It's for the children, Owen, it's all for the children. Suffer the children to come to my bar to share a drink and talk blogging politics.
And all this overblown defense of Gableman - why, Owen would do it for anyone. Baseless charges by Owen, anyone?
Boots and Kittens got it covered. Texas Hold Em, too.
For the record, the Fred in comments above is not me.
Michael, you are an idiot.
A picture of anyone talking to anyone does not prove anything.
Chances are if you aranged a party and 45 active people showed up Judge Gabelman would be more than happy to talk to you.
He might even have his picture taken with you.
And the right claim that the lefties don't have a sense of humor. Oh, the irony.
Let me guess, the comment that had to be removed was the unnamed blogger of fame and vulgarity.
Now Fred, trying to be nice here. But, it's not nice to call others names. Michael's post was a playful jibe. I think you owe him an apology for your intemperate response.
We "normal" and "ordinary" tax-paying citizens do not deserve that kind of diatribe.
Any guesses who "comment deleted" was?
I have no idea who comment deleted was, nor do I care.
Fact is blogs like this (and yours and Cappers) spend so much time making ridiculous personal attacks against area conservatives just how is one supposed to determine which jibes are in jest and which are not?
I believe I have been attacked at least 12 times on your blog Tim, I haven't looked in a couple of weeks so there could likely be more. And let's see how many times have I attacked you on my blog? That would be none.
Wallah! There is a thought to ponder.
Excuse me for not being able to tell the whimsy attack from the more serious variety.
Perhaps the problem is not with me, perhaps it is with you and Capper and Michael.
It's "Gableman" and "Whallah."
While we're counting, does Owen's rabid 400-word commentary on Matthias's 30-word sentence count as one attack, or do we calculate the ratio to arrive at 13.33 hit points?
Michael,
did you write another 30-word sentence ? Too long, too long.
Mom
Pundit Nation has no comments policy, per se. For example, Fred is welcome to call me an idiot whenever and as often as chooses. However, the lack of a policy is not a substitute for common sense. You should expect, therefore, that an anonymously posted comment suggesting that another commenter who uses his real name is on the sex offender registry will be deleted. Please also remember that, as Owen Robinson pointed out recently, no is truly anonymous on the Internet. I do know who you are.
Must have been a slow fake outrage day.
Geez, Fred. I wasn't being being nasty ... just having a conversation. In fact, I've been very nice toward you. Not a single mention on my blog of the silliness that emanates from your site because I thought we had established a sort of dialogue (your words).
I guess back to having fun at your expense.
And why? Because you're a putz and it's so easy! Open season. Woohoo!
I would just point out that extremism in the defense of liberty is a virtue.
But then, I'm an extremely well-tempered guy.
Now, that is funny.
It may have been one 30-word sentence, but no word had more than three syllables, so it's not like it's one of those "Genius"-level blogs.
And in correcting the spellings, I err on "Mathias". The irony! Confiteor... mea mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa! Oh no, I'm channelling Dad29!
gabelman is a such a sorry excuse for a candidate. why the rightwing would chose such a limp-dick who obviously got his ass kicked in highschool daily marvels logic. just like dick cheney and the crew who couldn't fight their way out a fu..'n paper bag but more than will to spill innocent blood, gabelman doesn't rate to replace such a brilliant thinker as louis butler. go back to your small life.
Congratulations to Gableman who will hopefully put a fair and honest face on Wisconsin's Supreme Court...for a real CHANGE!
